Safety Zone: Helping Kids Exposed to Family Violence 

This is an exciting group program for children & Moms who have experienced family violence.
We offer three groups, all of which run at the same time. One group is for Moms; the two groups are for their kids- an older kids & a younger kids group.

A Women's Support & Information Group

Are you living with isolation? Do you want to improve your life?

Topics include:
*How to care for yourself and feel good.
*How to be assertive.
*How to have healthy relationships with people.

This group is for women who have lived with abuse. 
It is best for women who have had some counselling and are not in crisis. 

Date: This is an "open" ongoing group with no set start or end dates. 
New participants begin the 1st week of every month!

Caring Dads: Helping Fathers Value their Children

Caring Dads is a 15 week group program. 
It will help dads:
*Become better fathers.
*Take responsibility for their use of abusive behaviour.
*Recognize and prioritize their children's needs when possible. 
*Connect with their children in a more empathetic and nurturing way.

After the Separation: Programs to Help Families Cope- Fall 2010

Co-Operative Parenting: Shielding children from conflict.
An information and support group for any parent who is experiencing separation or divorce.
Learn strategies for successful co-parenting. 

Topics include:
*Learning to let go.
*Taking control of conflict
*Keeping it child-focused

Date: TBC
Time: 6:00 p.m. -7:30 p.m.
Cost: $60.00
We will accept registration from one parent only. 
No former couples will be registered in the same group. 

Kids Living with Divorce- Fall 2010

A group for kids aged 8-11 whose parents have separated or divorced. 

Topics include:
*Sharing our stories: We are not alone
*Understanding and expressing feelings 
*Learning new ways to cope with changes

Time: 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.
Cost: No cost

Any separated parent can register 
Any child of divorce can register
